The case for each

Logitech Brio 4K Ultra HD Webcam

Why it wins

The Brio is what you buy when video is part of your job: a 4K sensor with genuine HDR, Windows Hello IR login, and adjustable field of view. Recorded locally, the footage is in a different league from any 1080p webcam.

Watch out for

4K30 needs a real USB 3.0 connection and decent CPU; on old laptops it falls back to lesser modes silently. Windows Hello is fantastic — but Mac users get none of those extras, weakening the value case on macOS.

Our verdict

The Brio is a great sensor in a static box; the Link is a great sensor on a motorized gimbal that tracks you around the room. For seated meetings the Brio's simplicity wins — nothing to update, nothing to recenter. If you stand, whiteboard, or present, the Link's tracking is the closest thing to having a camera operator, and it genuinely shocks people on first use.
